Check that preceding questions are labelled clearly, required questions can be completed and the signature area is visible without horizontal scrolling. Try the form without drawing anything to make sure the required signature question prevents an empty submission. Also test returning to an earlier step if you use multiple pages.

Hosted responses are associated with the saved form in the connected cloud database. The signed-in owner can review those responses; visitors can read the published form definition but not the owner’s response list. A local draft is kept in browser storage until saved. Tell respondents what you are collecting and how you will use it. A public link should not contain private internal instructions, and a shared device should not be treated as a secure personal archive.

There are important output differences to keep in mind. CSV exports are suitable for tabular analysis, but a signature image is not an ordinary numeric or text answer. A standalone HTML copy runs independently and does not automatically send signatures to the hosted account. The file-selection question in the current builder records a filename rather than an attachment, so it should not be used as an alternative method of collecting a signed document. Use an appropriate separate document process if that is what you need.
