Converting XML to CSV
Each direct child of the XML root becomes one CSV row. Its attributes and child elements become the columns, using their names as headers. The conversion runs in your browser.
Worked example
| XML input | CSV output |
|---|---|
| <books><book id="1"><title>Dune</title></book><book id="2"><title>Emma</title></book></books> | id,title / 1,Dune / 2,Emma |
Limits
- Elements nested more than one level below a row are written as their combined text in one cell.
- Invalid XML (for example an unclosed tag) stops the conversion with an error. Check it in XML Formatter first.
