Turning SQL INSERT statements into a CSV
Paste SQL or upload a .sql file. The converter finds every INSERT INTO statement, takes the column names from its column list, and writes each VALUES row as one CSV line. Other statements such as CREATE TABLE are skipped.
Steps
- Paste the SQL or upload a .sql dump.
- Click Convert and check the preview.
- Download the CSV or copy it.
Worked example
| SQL input | CSV output |
|---|---|
| INSERT INTO users (id, name) VALUES (1, 'Ana'), (2, 'Raj, Jr.'); | id,name / 1,Ana / 2,"Raj, Jr." |
Limits
- Statements need a column list (INSERT INTO users (id, name) …). Dumps written without one are not picked up.
- Only INSERT data is converted; table definitions, indexes and UPDATE statements are ignored.
- Need the opposite direction? Use CSV to SQL to generate INSERT statements from a CSV.
